This course is a lecture discussion class on Modern Art, placing major works and monuments in the cultural and historical context of the era.

The final grade will be assigned based on three equally weighted exams and one paper (five to six pages for undergraduates and ten to twelve for graduate students). More than one unexcused absence in a weekly course may result in the reduction of a letter grade and late assignments and exams without prior arrangements will be penalized one letter grade per day until resolved.
